NYC F-89 Details

The F-89 is required to work as a Fire, Life, Safety Director in NYC.

  • The Written exam is given by the FDNY in Brooklyn, NY at 9 Metrotech

  • The Practical Exam is given on-site at the applicants job

  • 70% is required to pass both the Written and the Practical

  • Anyone who fails the Practical 2 times must retake the Written Exam

Qualifications

  • You must be over 18

  • You must have a High School Diploma or GED

  • You must 3 years of work experience

  • You must complete an FDNY approved 31-hour course
