On the equipment

What you walk out able to do

  • Analyze a combustion appliance properly

Draft, fuel properties and the measurements that tell you whether an appliance is burning the way it should.

  • Find the carbon monoxide and the reason for it

Alarms and response, building and static pressure, and the combustion appliance zone testing that shows where an imbalance is pulling flue gas back into a building.

5 HVAC Excellence certifications

  • Carbon Monoxide and Combustion Analysis. Combustion theory and fuels, carbon monoxide safety, building pressure measurements, combustion knowledge and analysis, measurements, and health effects.
  • Carbon Monoxide Safety. Alarms and response, building pressure measurements, combustion gas knowledge, measurements, and instrumentation and tools.
  • Combustion Appliance Zone. Building pressure knowledge and measurements, static pressure, pressure imbalances, and CAZ testing.
  • Fuel Oil Combustion. Combustion knowledge, fuel properties, advanced combustion, analysis, and draft.
  • Natural Gas Combustion. Fuel properties, combustion knowledge, analysis, and draft.

The one thing nobody can guess at

Carbon monoxide is measured or it is not known. A technician with an analyzer and the training to read it is the one a building needs in the room.
